Banana muffins

These tasty muffins have no added sugar but the dark chocolate makes them feel really indulgent! Perfect as an energy boost after school or to take on days out.

Makes 6 large or 12 small muffins


1 large ripe banana

1 egg

100g self-raising flour

60g jumbo oats

1/2 tsp vanilla paste

50g dark chocolate, chopped

2 tbsp pureed apple (optional)

Splash of milk


1. Preheat oven to 180C (fan)

2. Mash the banana and mix in the beaten egg

3. Add all other ingredients, adding milk if the mixture seems dry

4. Put into a small or large muffin tray and bake for 20-25 minutes
